Police medal haul
PA ' Wellington The New Zealand police squad of athletes won 49 medals, including 24 gold, in track, field and shooting events during the International Police Olympics which ended at Austin, Texas, at the week-end.
The top individual performance came from Rosemary Gibson, of Wellington, with six medals, including two golds, a silver and three bronze in swimming, according to police national headquarters yesterday.
