W.-Bush beats Waikato
PA Hamilton Wairarapa-Bush struck a bold blow for remaining in the first division of the national rugby championship at Hamilton’s Rugby Park on Saturday, beating Waikato, 19-15, with a spirited forward display.
It was Waikato's second loss in four championship games, but it was the first win in five games for Brian Lochore’s Wairarapa-Bush side that is in its first season in the first division.
Wairarapa-Bush’s loose forward trio of Carl Baker, Dudley and Paul Hawkins, ruled the roosf in the loose and its tight men often outmauled their powerful opposition.
