PA Ashburton Mid-Canterbury recorded one of its biggest wins for • many years at the Ashburton Showgrounds on Saturday when it overwhelmed North Otago in a second division match, 54-0. The half-time score was 24-0. The forwards, led by captain Grant Perry and loose forward. Paul Cunneen, allowed their southern oppon-
ents little possession. They dominated mauls, rucks and lineouts, giving, their hard ' running backs plenty of ball. Steve McAtamney and Jock Ross won the lineouts with ease and in the backs the midfield pairing of Murray Young and John Mudgway were always in control.
