Hairdressing contest results
The Canterbury-Westland women's hairdressing annual competitions were held at the Cashmere Club in Christchurch at the week-end as a preliminary to the national finals to be held in Auckland at Labour Day week-end. Place winners were: Open hair design: Cheri Cundall 1. Kirsty Boyle 2. Robert Parsley 3. Apprentice blow-wave (under 6000 hours): Michelle Channon 1, Sandra Bourke 2. Donna-Marie Pope 3. Apprentice blow-wave (under 3000 hours): Jane Taylor 1. Mike Hamel 2, Lisa Devine 3. Hair design: Michelle Channon 1. lan Chaney 2. Waa Kahukura 3. Mode, day; Marilyn Gibbs 1, Cheri Cuhdal) 2. Judy Wong 3. Galar Judy Wong 1. Marilyn Gibbs 2, Cheri Cundall 3. Apprentice, day style: Sandra Bourke 1, Michelle'Channon 2. Jane Taylor 3. Men's hairstyle: Roy Griffiths T. Stisan Cloudsley 2.
