Hadlee, Wright to fore
NZPA-Reuter London The New Zealand cricketer. Richard Hadlee, struck a six and 10 fours in making a top score of 64 which revived the champion side. Nottinghamshire, against Gloucestershire in their county cricket clash yesterday. Hadlee helped his team to 197 all out as the left-arm spinner, John Childs, with four for 53. and the veteran West Indian. John Shepherd, who took four for 86. did the damage. Nottinghamshire swiftly hit back by reducing Gloucestershire to 94 for
seven at the close. And at- Edgbaston, the New Zealand opener. John Wright, was the only Derbyshire batsman able to cope with the green pitch as his side toppled to Warwickshire. The Warwickshire and England captain and fast bowler. Bob Willis, exploited the conditions to grab six for 45 — his best championship figures for four years — as Derbyshire went out for 128. Wright battled best as the ball seamed and lifted, to make 39. Warwickshire replied with 128 for three by the close.
