Name tag rule
Airlines around the world will require name tags on all badges from January I, 1983, said the International Air Transport Association yesterday. Mandatory identification. which an I.A.T.A. conference on passenger services. decided on earlier this year, should help travellers to recover lost luggage quickly, and cut theft in baggage-claim areas, it said. The association recommended that passengers put their home address and destination on the tags to allow luggage to be forwarded quickly.-Geneva.
