New students’ president
A fourth-year commerce student, Mr Tony Gray, has been elected president of the University of Canterbury Students’ Association for 1983.
Mr Gray, aged 23. polled 683 votes out of a total of 1256.
Other candidates, with the votes they received in brackets. were Mr Wayne Codlin (275). Mr, Andrew Ashbey (87). and Mr George the Guru (108). There were 103 votes of no-confidence.
