Canty netball build-up
The Canterbury netball team has another’opportunity this week-end to develop its skills before the national championships in a fortnight. Canterbury will be competing in the annual Skellerup tournament at Rangiora along with the South Island's four other top teams. Otago. Southland. South Canterbury and Canterbury Country.
Canterbury has lost only once in the tournament and the coach. Cath Brown, is confident of another win. Otago has a strong team this season and should provide the main opposition. After the tournament. Miss Brown will be concentrating on the team's fitness. Canterbury is the top seed for the national tournament in Blenheim.
