Petrocorp testing continues

PA Wellington Flow testing on production wells on the McKee field continued throughout the week on the McKee No. 2. No. 3, and No. 4 wells, Petrocorp announced. The results were being analysed to see how the field would perform under sustained production. The oil produced was being taken to New Plymouth by road tanker and shipped to Marsden Point. The Kaimiro No. 1 well, 16km south of New Plymouth was drilling ahead at 2502 m. It was intended to drill the well to around. 5000 m to investigate in place Kapuni group sediments contained within a deeply buried structure.

The onshore seismic survey, presently working in the Petrocorp (Exploration) Gisborne licence area, was progressing steadily and about 160 km of the 260 km survey had been completed by the week's end, Petrocorp said.
