Home hit by blaze
Fire damaged a bedroom at the Ashlea House home for the elderly at 22 Ensors Road. Waltham, early last evening. The home was safely evacuated and no residents were hurt in the fire, which caused only minor damage. Four Fire Service appliances responded to the alarm call.
