Alarms deter burglars
Security alarms. fitted to Christchurch chemists’ shops proved an effective deterrent on Monday night to burglars looking for drugs. Thieves broke into, or attempted to break into, three pharmaci®, but each time they were disturbed by
alarms and fled emptyhanded, the police said. A safe was stolen from the surgery of Dr T. K. Williams, at 91 Papanui Road. The safe held no drugs, but some of Dr William’s papers are missing. His orange Honda Civic car was also taken.
