Names change undecided
The Christchurch City Council will reconsider the idea of changing the name of the City Engineer's department to the department of works and development. Cr Vicki Buck said this week that the suggested name might be too grandiose', and residents would have a hard time relating to a council department with such a name. The idea that the Associate City Engineer should be redesignated the City Engineer will also be reconsidered.
A report in “The Press” yesterday incorrectly said that the changes had already been made.
