Schools’ cycling event
The oldest of the schools’ cycling championships in Canterbury, the 16km team time trial for the Litolff Cup, will be decided at Lower Styx Road this afternoon from a field of 18 five-man teams. This is slightly down on the record of 20. and explained in part by the ab-
sence of Ashburton College and Rangiora High School, two long-attending schools. Hornby High School is also missing. The teams which have enjoyed successes in recent years, Christchurch and Shirley Boys’ High School, again appeal, as do Riccarton and Hagley. >
