Steady N.Z. market
Winslone stood out on an otherwise steady, moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Winstone gained 3c to 100 c in busy trading after issuing an annual report which was pessimistic about prospects for its Kariori mill, but optimistic about its other activities. U.E.B. firmed 1c on a reasonable report. Wilkins and Davies, another Auckland issue, was also prominent in the rises, gaining 30c to 380 c in quiet trading. Neil Holdings improved 1c to 76c after more than doubling its net profit in its latest financial vear. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index firmed 0.36 points to close at 625,08.
