Woman hurt at ski-field
An Auckland woman who was dazed in a fall on Mount Cheeseman on Thursday evening is in a satisfactory condition in Christchurch Hospital.
She is Elizabeth Robbins, aged 37, of Lonely Track Road, Albany Road, Auckland, who suffered a head injury in a fall near a ski lodge on the Mount Cheeseman ski-field. It is believed that she fell about 9 p.m. and was not found for another two hours.
At first it was thought Mrs Robbins was blind, but this proved to be untrue. Some time in the. past she was assessed as being blind but the Foundation for the Blind is at present erasing her name from its files.
