Trainers’ title to Ray Adcock?
The Weedons trainer, Ray Adcock, is. almost certain to clinch the 1981-82 trainers’ championship when the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club holds its final T.A.B. meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park on Friday. The meeting will be a twilight affair, starting at 4.5 p.m.. and finishing at 7.5 p.m. Adcock . starts the eighteenth < meeting of the season having trained 16 winners, which places him two ahead of Gael Palmer, five in front of Trevor and Kath Joli, and six ahead of Bill Werner. Adcock has three representatives at the final meeting and all must rate highly. Hasty Holly, runner-up in the club’s feature sprint, the Harding Cup, and winner of two class 5 sprint races, has a good chance from box No. 3 in the Winter Stakes over 330 m in spite of a loss of form.
With a smart beginning, Rally and Rool should be too speedy for the class 3 field over 560 m and Typhoon Kuda, which has become something of an enigma in his recent racing, has the ability and a good draw to go close in the final event for class 4 dogs over 560 m.
