Interviewer on visit
PA Auckland The well known British interviewer. Michael Parkinson. arrived in Auckland on Saturday. Mr Parkinson said that his visit to New Zealand was purely for a holiday. He said that he has been working in Australia hosting his second series for television and was taking the chance to see New Zealand
for the first time. “This is not a research mission, but I am certainly interested in meeting people.” he said. The producer of the “Parkinson” show. Mr David Mitchell, who is also in New Zealand, said that there were no plans to have any New Zealanders on the programme. Mr Parkinson will return to Australia today.
