Bridge Player looks sharp
Special correspondent Palmerston North Bridge Player looked ready for the City Handicap at Awapuni when he galloped at Woodville yesterday morning. He was ridden by the race day jockey, Phillip Smith. . Fast work was done well out on the course proper, which was soft. Times were generally slow. Bridge Player strode over 1000 m in Imin 8.95, the last 600 m in 40.45. He has sound form and should show up tomorrow.

Lone Hand and Treble i Gold ran from the 1000 m in Imin 10.55, the last 600 m in 42.85. Royal Wharf had the use of the best footing and ran 600 m in 38.85.
