Public Notices HURUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY LOAN 1982 - $57,000 NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Hurunui County Council held at the Council Chambers. Amberley, on Monday. May 31. 1982. Lhe following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers. Amberley, at 9.15 a.m. on Monday, June 28. 1982. RESOLUTION That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974. the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all amendments thereto and all other acts and powers enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of and in accordance with the conditions of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board, granted at a meeting of the Board held on May 11,1982. the Council resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Housing for the Elderly Loan 1982 for the sum of Fifty Seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000) for the purpose of erecting four pensioner flats at Amberley, subject to the following conditions: 1. The term for which the said loan or part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years: 2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shah not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 3.5 per cent per annum; 3. Notwithstanding anything in clause 2 hereof, the rate of interest may be increased or reduced not less than three years after such part of the loan is borrowed and at intervals of not less than three years thereafter to a rate not exceeding the rate for the time being fixed by the Housing Corporation of New Zealand for new loans granted for similar purposes provided that in no case shah the rate of interest be increased to a rate in excess of the maximum rate for the time being determined by the Minister of Finance pursuant to Section 9 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the term specified in clase 1 hereof; 4. The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shah be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in clause 1 hereof; 5. The payment of ah such instalments shah be made in New Zealand and no such Instalment shah be paid out of loan money. 6. That the security for the said loan be a special rate of such amount each year upon the rateable value of ah rateable property in the County of Hurunui as may in that year provide sufficient revenue for the payment of annual charges in respect of the loan plus 10 per cent thereof, which rate shah continue until the loan is paid off. Note.—lt is not proposed to levy or collect the special rate but to meet the loan charges from rentals and general rate levy.

It is hereby publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15 per cent of the ratepayers of the County of Hurunui so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned not later than 9 a.m. on the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution.
