N.Z. v. U.S.S.R. on Sunday
Highlights of the following World Cup matches will be screened on Two at 9.45 tonight; West Germany v. Algeria, England v. France, and Spain v. Honduras. They will be repeated on One at 7 a.m. tomorrow. On Friday night, at 9.45 on Two, there will be highlights of Chile v. Austria, Kuwait v. Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia v. Northern Ireland, the first appearances for all of the six teams. Saturday At 9.05 a.m. on Saturday TV One will repeat Friday night’s highlight package. On Two at 9.45 p.m. on Saturday there will be highlights from three important matches for six nations with ambitions to advance to phase two. Italy will' meet Peru, Argentina will play Hungary and Brazil will tackle Scotland. The commentators will be Alan Parry, Barry Davies and John Motson.
Sunday On Sunday morning at 6.45 One will bring New Zealand's second match in the World Cup. The opponent in this group five fixture at Malaga’s La Rosaleda Stadium is the U.S.S.R. The kick-off will be at 7 a.m. and the commentator will be John Motson. After the live telecast there will be a repeat of the previous night’s highlights. On Sunday night at 9.45 Two will present highlights from New Zealand’s clash with the U.S.S.R., Poland against Cameroon and Belgium against El Salvador. Monday At 7 a.m. on Monday one will repeat the previous night's highlights, including New Zealand against the U.S.S.R. At 9.45 on Monday night Two wilt screen highlights from the matches England against Czechoslovakia, West
Germany against Chile and Spain against Yugoslavia. Tuesday At 6 a.m. on Tuesday One will repeat the previous night’s highlights. At 9.45 on Tuesday night, Two will screen highlights of Austria against Algeria, France against Kuwait and Northern Ireland against Honduras. Wednesday At 7 a.m. on Wednesday One will repeat the previous night’s highlights. At 9.45 p.m. on Wednesday Two will screen highlights from Peru against Poland, Belgium against Hungary and the U.S.S.R. against Scotland. Thursday Will this be New Zealand's last outing in the World Cup? Live from the Benito Villamarin Stadium in Seville at 6.45 a.m. the Kiwis will be
screened on One tackling mighty Brazil, historically the greatest of the world’s footballing nations. John Motson will be the commentator. After the match there will be a repeat of the previous night's highlight package. Highlights from New Zealand’s match against Brazil will be screened on Two at 9.45 p.m. Two other matches will be highlighted. These are Argentina against El Salvador, and Italy against Cameroon. Friday A repeat of highlights of New Zealand against Brazil, Argentina against El Salvador and Italy against Cameroon will be screened on One at 7 a.m. on Friday. At 9.45 p.m. on Friday, Two will present highlights of Chile against Algeria, France against Czechoslovakia and Honduras against Yugoslavia.
