Two breed records broken
PA New Plymouth Two breed records were broken at the New Zealand Ayrshire Breeders Society annual sale in New Plymouth. A five-year-old cow. Lakeside Fern Ex Merit, sold on account of B. R. and R. T. Rapley, of Otorohanga. brought $9200 from L. Legg and Legg, of Leeston. Canterbury.
Fairleigh Fallen Heath, a yearling, sold on account of K. and N. Eade. Invercargill, was bought by Bruce Rapley, Otorohanga. for $3lOO. The sale attracted a large attendance with mature cows averaging $4900. nine yearling heifers $1944, 12 iri-calf heifers $2158. and five yearling bulls $1620.
