Appeal
The Palestine Human Rights Committee has launched a national appeal to support the victims of the war in Lebanon. "With a population of about three million in a territory less than half the size of Canterbury, the number of casualties, displaced persons, and destruction of property in Lebanon illustrate the devastating effects of Israel’s military invasion," said the appeal organiser, Dr R. R. Mclntyre. He appeals for medical volunteers and supplies, and financial aid, which are to be directed to the committee, at the political science department of the University of Canterbury.
