Third of stamp-show awards go overseas
PA Palmerston North A third of the 24 special awards given for presentation at Palmpex 'B2, a 10-day national stamp exhibition at Palmerston North, were won by overseas competitors. Special award winners included:— A.S.A. Stamp Company and Adelaide Stamp Auctions Trophy for the best foreign entry, K. R. Mcdpnald. Upper Hutt; Australia Post Trophy,-for, the best Australian Commbnwe'afth-entry. M. G. C. Gibson, Auckland; Campbell Paterson Trophy for the best, entry illustrating research .in" philately. R. M. Startup, Masterton; Donald F. lon Trophy for the ■ best British Commonwealth entry, E: A. Barnes,-Western Australia; Frank Hewitt Memorial Cup for the runner-up to the best novice entry, “Pacific", Henry Rolton Memorial Trophy for the best modern New Zealand entry. F. H. P. Wilkinson, New South Wales; Laurie Franks, Ltd. Trophy for the best novice entry, Mrs D. E. Rogers, Victoria, Australia; Lilian Godfrey Memorial Trophy for the entry illustrating best philatelic research other than on New Zealand, B. J.
