Identity sought of murder victim
PA Wellington The New Zealand police have been asked to help identify a drug-related murder victim known only as Cross-Eyed Peter. The Queensland police believe the man, whose body has never been found, was shot. The shooting is believed to have taken place. in the remote settlement of Cedar Bay, between December, 1977, and April, 1978. Cross-Eyed Peter has been described as a New Zealander, aged between 38 and 40, 6ft lin (185 cm tall, with shoulder-length red hair with goid-tinted ends and a full beard. He also wore a headband.
Cross-eyed, his right eye had a noticeable cast to the ground and his left a cast upwards. His face had a weather beaten appearance. Cross-Eyed Peter , is thought to have been married and to be the father of one child, but, according to the Queensland police, was known to have a dislike of women. A man told the Australian police he saw Cross-Eyed - Peter shot, apparently suspected of raiding a community marijuana crop. The New Zealand police want to hear from anyone who may have any information to Cross-Eyed Peter’s identity.
