A 27-year-old housepainter without medical insurance has died of burns in Baltimore City Hospital after about 40 other hospitals refused to treat him. John Lacey suffered second- and third-degree burns over 95 per cent of his body on May 5 at his home in Savannah, Georgia, and was admitted to a Savannah hospital.
