World Cup team ready
PA Auckland The New Zealand World Cup soccer squad ended a busy fortnight of games and functions throughout New Zealand at a civic farewell at the Auckland Town Hall yesterday. ' About 150 people watched as the soccer team was welcomed by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr Colin Kay. The team manager, Mr Charley Dempsey said the team had received “tremendous support" from New Zealanders. The squad will leave from Auckland International Airport at 8.15 a.m. tomorrow.
