FINANCE COMPANY ■MANAGER (nzuc) NEW ZEALAND UNITED CORPORATION, LIMITED, a listed public company and 49.7 per cent owned by Barclays Bank, is New Zealand’s longest established Merchant Bank. We are wishing to appoint an experienced person to assume responsibility for the management and expansion of our finance company subsidiary, N.Z.U.C.' Finance,' Limited. This company currently has outstandings of $l2 million, comprised predominantly of lease receivables. ' , This is a new appointment. It is likely the person we are seeking is presently employed in the finance company industry. This person is now ready for the challenges and satisfactions which will come from developing an established operation into a major and specialist finance house. The immediate qualities we require are:— • Sound technical appreciation of leasing, money lending, credit evaluation and control. . • Strong marketing image and attitude to finance company funding requirements. Ability to relate with business and professional community. • Experience in the finance company (or related) industry is likely to be not less than seven years. The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Future expansion will require increased staffing requirements, representation etc. The Manager must have the attributes to grow with the Company. The position will report directly to the General Manager, Banking Services. Location is Wellington City. Premises and environment is of the highest quality sited in Wellington’s newest harbourside building.
