Lessons learned by the British task force fighting the Falklands war would be taken into , account in New Zealand’s defence review this year “where applicable,” a Defence spokesman said yesterday. His comment followed a press conference at which
the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) said that he would expect and require New Zealand defence chiefs to watch the Falklands war, with New Zealand’s needs in mind. The defence review, providing a. blueprint of defence needs for the immediate future, is due late this year.
