works she plays and in this one there is no exception. In so doing she makes these miniatures virtually her own and her tone is as sparkling as ever.
Ostensibly “non-virtuoso” pieces, they are nonetheless handled in much the same manner as those pieces in previous albums which were obviously in that category. It was a good idea to have a collation of smaller works, the exception being de Logy's Little Suite, which is, in fact a suite comprising 5 movements, each being small enough to be classed as miniatures. The inevitable Sor and Tarrega form the hard core of the programme, with even the dispensable Greensleeves reaching quite an acceptable level in shortened form and sporting a new arrangement.
