NZPA staff correspondent Melbourne The South Island hurdler, Belsen’s Bank, is one of the favourites for the 3600 m Commonwealth Steeplechase at Moonee Valley today. The six-year-old Trelay gelding, owned by Colin Hay, was transferred to the Bendigo trainer, Rick Hore-Lacy, in January.

At his last start Belsen's Bank turned in an impressive fourth at Flemington in the 3200 m Fulham Steeple on May 19.
