Rare skier service
Mountain Equipment, a household name that relates to skiers and mountaineers alike, offer extended hours during the winter months. The Mountain Equipment Ski and ’ Alpine shop will open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with late night Fridays. During the peak of the season, probably July-August, Saturday will be an open day also, as advertised. In addition to extended hours some special bonuses have been introduced for new customers that purchase skis this season. As well as receiving a whole season’s unlimited wax offer, Mountain Equipment are giving away a lift pass with every pair of new skis sold except on cut-price package deals. The customer can choose any field in Canterbury. Another new appearance at Mountain Equipment this winter is a brand new ski hire department. Remember also, that the manufacturing division of Mountain Equipment has a specialist tailoring service to cater for custom-made skiwear, repairs and alterations. Mountain Equipment are situated at 384 Montreal Street by the Victoria clock tower.
