Thatcher praises N.Z.

NZPA London The New Zealand and Australian Governments have been warmly praised by the British Prime Minister (Mrs Thatcher) for their quick response over the Falkland Islands dispute. Mrs Thatcher ' told the House of Commons during question time that both Governments had been "absolutely magnificent." She was answering the Conservative member of Parliament. Mr Richard Body, who asked her to indicate to what extent the Government appreciated the way Australia and New Zealand had imposed trade sanctions upon Argentina and how these were imposed totally . speedily, and unconditionally. Mrs " Thatcher said she would "gladly" respond. “The Governments of Australia and New Zealand have been absolutely mangificent from the start, from the day the Falkland Islands were invaded." she said. The two Governments had recognised that pressure must be brought to bear, and that what the Falkland Islanders wished to have was their right to live in their own way under a government of - their own choice.
