Acadia at Riccarton

Acadia is to do her future racing from the Riccarton stable of Michael Pitman.

A Beaufort Sea mare, which at times has shown marked ability on soft and heavy tracks, Acadia could not have been more impressive when winning the Manawatu Winter Cup trial and the W.R.C. Stewards’ Handicap last winter. She won the 1600 m Manawatu race by four lengths and the Trentham 1200 m sprint by five lengths. Acadia has done all her racing so far on lease from Evan Rayner’s Marton stable but has been returned to her Christchurch owner, Mr Gary McMeekan.
