Corso to appeal for U.N. agency
PA Wellington The aid organisation. Corso, plans to make a special public appeal to help prevent the collapse of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which cares for Palestinian refugees. The agency, which provides health care and education for about 1.6 million refugees, faces the prospect of having to reduce its work
because of substantial deficits. Corso said that it planned to build its annual appeal, on June 12. around the Palestinian problem. Corso saw the United Nations agency's work as a' priority for itk appeal programme and would also launch a special appeal. Corso has supported tlie organisation and its Palestine programme for about 20 years, and last year gave $30,000 for the work. '
