N.Z. hockey sides successful
The New Zealand and New Zealand under-23 women’s hockey teams had considerable success in the women’s country week tournament in Auckland at the week-end. The under-23 side had three good wins in as many matches, and the senior team two wins from two games. The senior team beat Auckland B 4-0, and Auck-
land A 6-0. The under-23 side beat Waikato A 1-0, North Shore A 3-1, and Auckland B 4-0. The tournament, which ends tomorrow, is being used as final preparation for the New Zealand teams before the international tournament, with six overseas teams, starts in Palmerston North on Saturday.
