Southland Hospital has approximately 450 beds including a 90 bed Obstetric Unit and a 40 bed Psychiatric Unit. It is recognised by the English and Australian Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons. Post-graduate study and training are well-catered for and there is a good medical library. Excellent single accommodation and some married accommodation is available. Salary and Conditions of Employment will be in accordance with Hospital Service Determination M.lO (Medical Officers). The salary range is currently $23,180 to $31,103 per annum plus the appropriate compensatory payment for rostered on-call work.
