NATIONAL TRAINING OFFICER A NEW POSITION for a National Training Officer in the Wellington office of the Association has been approved. This officer will assist the Executive Officer (Management Training) in the national management training programme for the twentynine hospital boards. The Management Training Section of the Association directs and coordinates the activities of a national team of training officers located in six regional training units throughout New Zealand. Desired qualifications: — Knowledge and experience of the principles of organisation development and of management, gained throughout practice or teaching; - Sound understanding of the principles of adult learning, with some service as a practising trainer; — Personal qualities which will make the appointee acceptable to and effective with health professionals and senior administrators: - An appropriate academic or professional qualification would be a distinct advantage. Salary up to a maximum of $23,363, depending on qualifications and experience, will be negotiable.
