Support for race work

PA Wellington The Anglican Church will support the National Council of Churches' programme on racism. The Anglican General Synods meeting in Wellington, passed a motion supporting the programme as a means of creating awareness of the forms of racism in church 'and society. The Church will provide $5OOO a year for 1982-83 and for 1983-84 to help the programme to continue beyond its first 12 months. A speaker at the synod, Judge M. J. A. Brown, of Auckland, said that the pro 1 gramme was a constructive and intelligent way of .handling the issue of racism in New Zealand.
