Hexagonal barbecue shelters which are nearing completion in Victoria Park on the Cashmere Hills. The shelters are being built by the Christchurch South Rotary Club as a special project to mark the club’s twenty-fifth anniversary this year. A fair will be held at the Sydenham School on Saturday to help cover the building costs. The shelters will be formally opened by the Mayor of Christchurch, Mr Hamish Hay, on May 2.
