TECHNICAL/DESIGN POSITION A POSITION EXISTS within a progressive Sportsgoods manufacturing organisation to strengthen an already strong team and ensure the future development of the business. The position is seen as one of major importance within the organisation and the incumbent will become the technical and development strength around which the manufacturing is based. The major elements of the position include: — Responsibility for ensuring smooth running of key machinery (injection moulding). — Setting and monitoring quality control standards. — Maintenance and monitoring of product/ manufacturing specifications. — Design/drawing in respect of jigs moulds etc., for existing and new products. The person to fill this position should preferably have engineering qualifications (N.Z.C.E. or 8.E.), have practical experience with a “bent” for hands on experience. In addition to such engineering background, the person should have experience with some combination of the following: — Injection Moulding — Quality Control — Chemistry (rubber technology) — Drafting/design Non-qualified- persons who have this experience should also apply.
