27 die in crash
There were no survivors from a United States Air Force Hercules transport plane which crashed in eastern Turkey with 27 people aboard, a Turkish military spokesman said. The plane had exploded in the air, caught fire and crashed 86km west of the city of Erzincan. All the victims were American and all were believed to be military personnel, he said. — Ankara.
