Union Nelson in port next month
The Union Nelson, the Union Shipping Group's new $8 million container ship, will make its first visit to Lyttelton on April 21. From that date, it would call at Lyttelton every fortnight, said a spokesman for the company in Wellington yesterday. The Union Nelson is approximately four times as large as the- Titoki, which it is replacing. The former can carry up to 150 standard size containers. The Union Nelson is en route from Singapore, where it was fitted with new accommodation. It will be in port at Wellington next Friday. The Titoki is being sold overseas.
