A “for sale" sign has been placed on the familiar flower barrow in Cathedral Square by the owner, Mr J. May. His tender of $1560 to $1820 for the Cathedral Square site was considered too low by the Christchurch City Council and declined last Monday. The site is to be put up for tender at $3500 a year. Selecting a flower from the barrow last evening is Susan Foster.
