SPECIFIC LEARNING DIABIcITIES TEACHER TRAINING COURSE •June 28-July 16. 1982 , APPLICATIONS are invited from trained non-practising teachers, to attend a 3 week course on the theory and practice of teaching children and adults with specific learning difficulties i.e., those people with normal learning potential but who have a specific difficulty with learning to read, write and spell and who cannot learn through conventional teaching practices, and need specialist, individual tuition. The course is to be held in Timaru, Mon.-Fri. 9-2.30 June 28-July 16. On completion teachers will work with referrals to SPELD. usually after school hours and evenings. This is very rewarding parttime work. Out of town teachers are especially welcome, and billets will be available to assist out of town people to attend. Enquiries welcomed.
