ALTITUDE: Strips - 1300 to 2300 ft above sea level. Maximum — 4500 ft above sea level. AIRCRAFT: One plane will be necessary and an agitator must be fitted to hopper. DISTANCE: Bait application is" necessary from the strip to a maximum distance of 8 km. HELICOPTER Rakaia River - Methven AREA: 1064 hectares. TONNAGE; 6e tonnes sown at a rate of 20kg per hectare. DATES: May 31 to June 21,1982. ALTITUDE: 550 to 950 ft above sea level. Aircraft and Sowing Equipment must guarantee accurate bait placement. DISTANCE: Maximum 4.5 km from helipad. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH OPERATIONS Loader: Must be supplied for loading aircraft and to deliver whole bulk carrots into the carrot cutter hopper. The operator, must be supplied. and wear, adequate protective clothing. All aircraft and equipment must be free of super or any contaminating substance oh arrival at strip. Pilot must’ have chemical rating tor 1080 poison. Back up equipment and aircraft must be availuibe throughout all operations. All operations are 'vo preteeds and one toxic application. AU poison decontamination ot aircratt and equipment will be carried out by the Board. Aircraft are to remain on . strip during operations and must be decontaminated before leaving area. Please supply aircraft make, model and carrying capacity. Separate tenders for helicopter and fixed wing will be considered. Quote all prices on a per hour basis.
