The General Assembly Library provides library and information services for Members and staff of Parliament. The Reference Section is the main service element. This position involves reference and research service including newspaper indexing, use of a computer terminal and radio and TV recording equipment, literature specialisation and book selection. Face-to-face reference experience an advantage. Knowledge of current affairs and ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining good public and staff relations are important attributes. Qualifications desired: relevant degree and Diploma in Librarianship or equivalent.
