J&F® university of CANTERBURY STEEL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP THE Heavy Engineering Research Association of NewZealand has established a Research Fellowship in the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Canterbury. Applications are invited from candidates who have soecialised knowledge of structural steel as evident by suitable experience in professional practice or research. Duties will include research on the design and fabrication of steel structures and products, and some teaching and advice to industry. Salary will be in the range $19,835 to $23,520. THE PAPUA NEW GUINEA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY CHAIR OF FORESTRY APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Forestry in the University of Technology, Lae, which will fall vacant i'n July 1982. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing the Development of the Forestry Degree Course, for the formulation and carrying out of an Applied Research Programme in the Department, and for maintaining the closest links with the national forest service and with the forestbased industry. Applicants should have a post-graduate qualification and considerable experience and expertise in forestry, with appropriate teaching, research and administrative experience.
