Tin mission
Indonesia’s Mining Minister, Dr Subroto, has left Jakarta for London on the first leg of a tour to European countries to persuade them to sign the sixth International Tin Agreement. The fifth agreement will expire at the end of June, 1982. Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Musa Hitam, has proposed the creation of an association of tin-pro-ducing countries, along the lines of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, if a new tin agreement is not signed.—Jakarta.
