Sinai force departure
PA. Wellington The Anzac contingent to the Sinai peace-keeping force will leave Amberley air base at Brisbane on Friday and will take up its post in North-eastern Sinai the next day, said Defence Head quarters yesterday. The commander of New Zealand’s 35-strong contribution to the combined Aus-
tralia-New Zealand helicopter force, Wing Commander Noel Rodger, had been at the El Gorah base where the force will be stationed since last week, a spokesman said. Air force technical staff for the force have been at Fairburn base near Canberra since March 3 and air crew joined them a short time later.
