Inquiry report soon
The report from an inquiry set up by the State Services Commission into the Probation Service in Christchurch should be ready within the next two weeks. The inquiry was established as a result of allegations about probation officers’ conduct made in a series of articles in a weekly newspaper. It was conducted by Mr A. A. P. Willy, a Christchurch barrister, and Mr N. S. Coad, a retired public servant.
